Ernest “ZACH” Zacharevic is a Lithuanian-born artist combining fine art techniques with a passion for creating outdoor interventions. With ideas leading the way, Ernest removes the limitations of artistic boundaries. He moves fluidly between oil painting, stencil and spray painting, installation, and sculpture.

His signature works focus on the interaction between art and the urban landscape, with concepts reflecting his ideas of community and culture in each place he visits. What has earned Zacharevic his huge social-media fan base however, is no doubt his signature street installations on Armenian Street in Georgetown, Penang. It combines real objects with painted figures, seen in examples such as a trough ‘filled’ with young orangutans, or more famously his ‘two children on a bicycle’.

Interestingly, he declines to give any clarification about his works — permitting the viewer to draw their own interpretation.
